An artist with experience in restoration and conservation of metal museum objects. He combines an extensive knowledge of precious metals with ancient techniques into an unique jewelry designs. In his search for perfection he is equally interested in modern forms of expression that he believes could help to link the beauty of the jewelry from the past with the contemporary art aesthetics.
Iladesign is a studio for unique gold and silver art jewellery formed by the artists Lydia Ilarion and Marin Marino.They are both graduates of the School of Fine and Applied Arts, Sofia, with major in metal art and jewelry designis
Marin Marino est un artiste avec expérience dans la restauration et la conservation d'objets de musée en métal. En combinant sa connaissance étendue des métaux précieux avec des techniques anciennes, il crée des bijoux uniques. Dans sa recherche de la perfection, il est également intéressé par les formes d'expression modernes qui peuvent aider, selon lui, à lier la beauté des bijoux du passé avec l'esthétique de l'art contemporain.
Iladesign est un atelier pour bijoux uniques d'or et d'argent fondé par les artistes Lydia Ilarion et Marin Marino. Ils sont tous les deux diplômés de l'École des beaux arts de Sofia avec spécialisation en stylistique d'art en métal et bijouterie

THE ANCIENT GOLD SERIES
An unique collection of art jewelry created and made by the artists of Iladesign in the ancient technique of repousse with pure gold 24 kt, sterling silver 925 and semiprecious stones. The inspiration comes from the beauty of zoomorphic images from 5 b.c. Thracian, Scythian, Celtic, Roman and Greek art works.The technique of repousse dates from 10 century b.c. when pure gold was raised by hand supported with wax and used as a decoration on objects, clothes and jewelry. In our own interpretation of the technique, we support the soft gold with durable material and treat the surface with unique formula giving it an ancient appearance. Marin Marino has mastered many ancient techniques in his work as a goldsmith and in the process of restoration & conservation of museum objects. He was awarded a prize for the restoration on the touring exhibition “Gold of The Thracian Horsemen” shown in the Palais de la Civilisation in Montreal, Quebec in May,1987.
L’OR À L'ANCIENNE
Une collection originale de bijoux d’art conçue et créée par les artistes d’Iladesign par la technique ancienne du repoussé sur métaux précieux: or pur 24 ct, argent au titre 925 et pierres fines. La source d’inspiration fut la beauté sublime de quelques images zoomorphes de l’art thrace, scythique, celte, romain et grec datant du Ve s. av. J.-C. La technique du repoussé date du Xe s. av. J.-C. quand on exécutait à la main des hauts-reliefs sur or pur supportés par de la cire et utilisés comme décoration
sur vêtements et bijoux. Dans notre interprétation de cette technique nous supportons l’or pur avec des matériaux durables et traitons la surface avec une formule spéciale qui lui procure son aspect antique. Marin Marino a maîtrisé plusieurs techniques anciennes dans son travail comme orfèvre et comme restaurateur et conservateur d'objets d'or de musées. Il a reçu un prix pour la restauration de l’exposition “L'Or des cavaliers thraces” présentée au Palais de la civilisation à Montréal, Québec en mai 1987.
